How To Password Protect Your Directories

This web page shows you how to 'password protect' any directories under your website.

Log in at SiteManager.

Click "Web".

First, a user list has to be created.

This user list will contain user names and their corresponding passwords. Anyone visiting the directory that is "password protect" will be asked for a user name and password, and the user name and password supplied must match any set of user name and password in the user list.

Click "User List".

Click "Add new User List".

Fill in the fields.

File Name : This is the name of the user list.
User : This is the user name.
Password : This is the corresponding password for the user name above.

Click "Add User".

If the user list is successfully created, by clicking "User List", you can see the user list's name being displayed....

And if you click on the user list's name, you can see the user names in the user list....
